Why we review vehicle documents
Before production, we review the vehicle data relevant to the sticker classification. This helps prevent incorrect assignments and follow-up questions.
Only for officially assigned registration numbers
Environmental stickers and E-stickers can only be issued for registration numbers that have already been officially assigned by the competent authority. Planned, reserved or not-yet-issued personalised registration numbers cannot be used.

Which documents do we need?
For the officially recognized issue of your environmental sticker, we need current and clearly legible documents.
Germany
Usually the registration certificate part I / vehicle registration document is sufficient.
Foreign vehicles
Please use the relevant national registration document. For Dutch vehicles, the RDW check in the environmental sticker assistant can be used as an alternative.

The complete document must be available. Guidance on photos, scans and permitted redactions is provided below.

Green environmental sticker
The green environmental sticker is generally decisive for entering many German low-emission zones. We review your vehicle data and documents to determine whether your vehicle qualifies.
- For petrol, diesel, hybrid and many other vehicles depending on classification
- Attached inside the windscreen
- The exact allocation depends on vehicle type and emission standard
Blue E-sticker
The blue E-sticker is additional identification for eligible electric vehicles and certain plug-in hybrids registered outside Germany. It does not replace the green environmental sticker.
- Only for eligible vehicles registered outside Germany
- Placed clearly visible at the rear of the vehicle
- Can allow the vehicle to be recognised under local EV rules like a German electric vehicle and use the same benefits provided there

- No cropped edges or hidden vehicle data; address and personal details may be redacted

Online registration (iKfz): Which documents do we need?
With online registration, you first receive an official decision from the registration authority. Upload this decision in full during the order. For the sticker, it must show in particular the officially assigned registration number, the vehicle identification number and the date of first registration.
If the online decision does not contain all technical data needed for the environmental-sticker classification, please also upload a photo of the previous registration document. For a new vehicle that has never had a registration document, we need the COC papers instead.
Important: incomplete iKfz documents – especially without the date of first registration or sufficient technical vehicle data – are not sufficient for issuing the sticker.

Which documents do I need to upload?
In Germany, the registration certificate part I / vehicle registration document is usually sufficient. For foreign vehicles, we need the respective national vehicle document clearly legible.
How quickly is my order processed?
For orders received by 3:00 pm from Monday to Friday, we usually review and dispatch them on the same business day.
How is the sticker shipped?
Within Germany, standard shipping by letter is free of charge. Additional shipping methods may be available for a surcharge.
What happens if my upload is not clearly legible?
This can cause follow-up questions or delays. Please make sure that photos or scans are complete and sharp.
Can I order for multiple vehicles in one order?
Yes. Please make sure that plate numbers and documents are clearly assigned to the respective vehicles.
Can I add documents after placing the order?
If our review shows that a detail or document is missing, we can request it in individual cases. The fastest option is to upload all required documents completely when ordering.
Does the blue E-sticker replace the green environmental sticker?
No. The blue E-sticker does not replace the green environmental sticker. Both markings serve different purposes.
What should I do if I am unsure which sticker I need?
The best option is to use our environmental sticker assistant. It gives you an initial orientation for your vehicle and destination.
